The 3rd Annual Kauai Invasive Specie Spear Fishing Tournament, Presented by PukaSurf Co, and  Kapa'a Beach Shop. The idea of the tournament is to bring awareness to the community to help sustain our local reefs by eliminating these invasive reef fish such as the Roi, To'au, Ta'ape which deplete our native fish. The Roi is also known to carry the ciguatera toxin which can be detrimental to ones health if ingested while consuming an intoxicated fish. This year there was a great turnout, over 30 teams who all did really well by depleting the numbers of these fishes off of our reefs.

The 2016 Champions Kalika Wong, and Danny Defries, the eliminated just under a 100 pieces of fish with a total of 110 points. Thats how you hammer!!!
